Building and Permits

DSC_0266.jpgThe Winter Springs Building Division is responsible for ensuring the public life safety and welfare through the enforcement of federal, state, and local codes governing construction. Our staff reviews plans, issues building permits, and performs inspections to ensure Code compliance related to aspects of life-safety, structural integrity, handicap accessibility, and electrical, plumbing, fuel gas, heating and air conditioning systems and energy.

HURRICANE IRMA ALERT

The City has adjusted the permit and inspection processes to facilitate the recovery efforts from Hurricane Irma.
 
Permits will be temporarily waived for:
Storm related Arbor work such as trees and limbs down
Storm related Fence repair (must be repairs only, replacing same type with no additional footage or relocating placement)
 
Permits are required for:
Any new construction and construction not related to the storm.
Roof repair for 100 square feet or more damaged
 
Inspections:
For inspections on Friday, September 15, 2017, please make your inspection request by 4PM Thursday September 14, 2017. Any inspection request made after 4PM Thursday, September 14, 2017 will be scheduled for inspection on Monday, September 18, 2017.
 

FOR PERMITS NOT REQUIRING BUILDING PLAN REVIEW
Step1: Complete the Permit Application
Step2: Print the application and have the form Notarized if Required
Step3: Submit the form with all the other required documents via Email to: customerservice@winterspringsfl.org
 
FOR PERMITS REQUIRING BUILDING PLAN REVIEW
STEP 1: Complete the Permit Application
STEP 2: Print the application and have the form Notarized
STEP 3: Submit the form via Email to: customerservice@winterspringsfl.org
STEP 4: The Permit Specialist will then review your Permit Request. If the application is accepted then you will be sent an Invitation to login to the ePlans ProjectDox Plan Review System with a Temporary Password.
STEP 5:
Submit the Building Plans and all the required Documents electronically into the ePlans ProjectDox Plan Review System. The plan review department will begin the review process of your project. 
 
The City no longer accepts paper plans. All Building Plans must now be submitted electronically through the ePlans ProjectDox Plan Review System. Click the tab below to learn more about electronic submittals and the ePlans ProjectDox Plan Review System.
