City Clerk: Andrea Lorenzo-Luaces, MMC

The Office of the City Clerk is proud and honored to serve the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Winter Springs while working to assist the City Manager and Staff, all advisory board and committee members, and the general public with any needs and concerns that they may have.

Responsibilities

The City Clerk is responsible for the following:

  • Coordinates and completes public records requests in compliance with Florida Statutes and the City's Public Records Policy

  • Attests and maintains custody of all official documents

  • Provides City information upon request which often includes: certified copies, excerpts of the City's Code of Ordinances, contracts, and agreements, agendas, agenda packets, minutes, and audio tapes of meetings

  • Recordation of official documents

  • Administers the publication of the City's Code of Ordinances, and all related supplements

  • Acts as the City's Records Management Liaison Officer with the State of Florida and is responsible for maintaining the City's Records Management program in compliance with Florida Statutes

  • Provides administrative and purchasing services, and travel arrangements to the Mayor and City Commission

  • Acts as designated local Elections Official and Filing Officer for all City elections
