wspw.jpgThe City of Winter Springs has many capital project taking place. Currently there are several traffic / transportation improvements along with some Parks and Recreation improvements. Continue to check back for more information on any current projects.


TRAFFIC/TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT

SR 434 and Tuskawilla Road Intersection Improvements – This project includes safety and operational improvements to the SR 434 and Tuskawilla Road intersection. The project will also enhance the Market Square portion of the Winter Springs Town Center. The design phase of the project is being federally through a Local Agency Program Agreement with FDOT. The design is scheduled to be completed in 2014 and is being performed by AECOM. The project is not currently funded for construction.

Moss Road Improvements – The Moss Road Improvements Project includes resurfacing Moss Road from SR 434 to SR 419, as well as drainage and landscaping improvements. This project will update North Moss Road to have a similar look and feel as South Moss Road. Design is scheduled for late 2013 and construction is scheduled for 2014.

Winding Hollow Deceleration Lane – The Winding Hollow Deceleration Lane Project will provide a right turn deceleration lane on eastbound SR 434 into the Winding Hollow subdivision. The design and construction phases of this project are being federally funded through a Local Agency Program Agreement with FDOT. The design is scheduled to be completed in late 2013 and is being performed by Pegasus Engineering. Construction is scheduled for 2014.

Edgemon/Lombardy Ditch Piping – This project involves piping and filling the ditch between South Devon Avenue and South Fairfax Avenue just North of Lombardy Road, as well as the ditch between South Edgemon Avenue and South Flamingo Avenue just South of Burgos Road. The design was completed by CDM Smith and construction is scheduled for 2014.
