Northern Way between Running Bear Ct and Mt. Laurel Drive, and Wade Street at Frank Street remain closed until further notice. Construction contractors will be starting the repairs at both of these locations this week and will be working as quickly as possible to complete the work.
At this time all city lift stations have power, and the water pressure citywide has been returned to normal. Thank you for conserving water this past week during our wastewater system recovery.
Parks and Recreation:
We're almost there.....The following areas of Central Winds Park are now open: Central Winds Drive and Orange Avenue, Dog Park, Sports fields and offices are open. Central Winds Park back playground, back pier, restrooms and pavilions will remain closed.
A few parks that will remain closed because of flooding or power issues include Trotwood Splash Pad and restrooms, Oak Hollow, Ranchlands, and Bear Creek Nature Trail.
All remaining Parks and Recreation facilities are open for normal sports leagues, activities and classes. We will continue to work hard to open the remaining parks when they are safe and power has been restored.
Storm Debris and Garbage Collection:
Waste Pro is collecting yard waste and debris that is containerized, bagged, or bundled. The City’s emergency debris contractor is collecting other storm related debris. This process will continue for the next several weeks until complete.
Please be mindful of the following:
We are committed to restoring the City to pre-storm status as soon as possible. Please be patient as we work through the restoration process.
